Dear Kolot Ha’Lev:
I had a marvelous time at your concert last month at the Library of Congress. I was not familiar with your work or existence until I saw the promotion from the Hebraic Section. I am thrilled I went to the program. Your passion and energy were magnificent. I even brought my friend and hazzan along, Cantor Marshall Kapell of our shul Congregation B’nai Tzedek. Cantor Kapell, of course, knew what I did not about your group.
A particular note of appreciation goes out to Hazzanut Ramon Tasat and Natasha Jitomirskai Hirshorn. Yasher koach!
Finally, I am deeply in awe of the photo that you use on your website and on the program cover of the five klezmorim. To me, that photo is worth more than one thousand words of tears and laughter, mourning and dancing.
